Jobber Review 2026: Pricing, Pros, Cons and Who It's Really For
Jobber review for 2026: every plan price at 1, 5, 10 and 15 users, where the $29 per-seat maths turns against you, and which trades should buy something else.
Jobber is the most transparent platform in this market and the safest first purchase for a US trade business of one to fifteen people: every plan is published, the extra-seat price is a flat $29/mo, and the scheduling, quoting and invoicing you need on day one are all on the entry tiers. It slips only where the work stops being simple repeats — no flat-rate price book, no equipment history, QuickBooks Online without Desktop, and reporting that thins out next to the enterprise tools.
- Best for:
- Residential and light-commercial trade businesses in the US running roughly one to fifteen people who want published pricing, predictable per-seat costs and a platform they can be running the same week they buy it.
- Not for:
- Shops that need a flat-rate price book and equipment history inside the software, QuickBooks Desktop, commercial project management or inventory, and anyone whose technicians sell from a printed book rather than a calculation.
Top picks at a glance
The plan most small shops end up on
Jobber Connect
$149/mo billed annually, 5 users
Automated reminders, automatic payment collection, checklists, quote and invoice follow-up and QuickBooks Online sync — at the same $149/mo billed annually that Housecall Pro charges for five users. Extra seats are a flat $29/mo.

The closest alternative on price
Housecall Pro Essentials
$149/mo billed annually, 5 users
The same five-user price with online booking and review management included and no long-term contract. Worth pricing if your growth comes from customer reviews rather than automated reminders.
Not an affiliate link (yet) — no commission if you sign up.
The budget alternative for a job-volume business
ServiceM8 Growing
$79/mo, unlimited users, 150 jobs/mo
Priced by job volume instead of headcount, so a four-person crew on a low ticket count pays $79/mo rather than $236/mo in seats. The trade-off is a coarser feature set and a mobile-first, app-led workflow.

Vendors marked 'No' publish no plan price on their main pricing page. FieldPulse is marked 'Tool rate only': the main page asks for a custom quote, but the vendor's own pricing tool publishes a platform rate of $99 per user (checked 11 September 2026). Where a third-party range circulates, this page labels it as an estimate and names the source.
Jobber is the platform most small US trade businesses end up on, and the reason is not that it is the most powerful product in this market. It is that Jobber is the most legible one. Every plan has a published price. The extra-seat cost is one flat number on every tier. The features you need in your first week — scheduling, quoting, invoicing, payments — are on the cheapest plan, and the features you need in your second year sit on the two tiers above it in a straight line.
That legibility is worth more than it sounds. Most of the platforms reviewed on this site publish no prices at all, which means a one-van business cannot even estimate a software bill without booking a sales call. Jobber is one of the few where you can decide by yourself, on a Tuesday evening, with a calculator.
This review scores Jobber 4.5 out of 5 for a specific kind of buyer: a US trade business of roughly one to fifteen people running residential and light-commercial work. It is not a five, and the two missing halves of a point are real — no flat-rate price book, no equipment history, QuickBooks Online with no Desktop option, and job costing locked behind the Grow tier. Every price below was read from Jobber’s own pricing page on 10 September 2026 and re-confirmed on 11 September 2026. We have not used Jobber on customer jobs and we do not claim to have.
What Jobber costs in 2026
Jobber sells four plans — Core, Connect, Grow and Plus — and prices each of them three ways: monthly with no commitment, monthly on a one-year commitment, and billed annually. The annual column is the one to read, because it is the one that shows up on your card.
| Plan | Users included | Monthly | 1-year commitment | Billed annually |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Core | 1 | $49/mo | $39/mo | $29/mo |
| Connect | 5 | $199/mo | $169/mo | $149/mo |
| Connect | 10 | $299/mo | $259/mo | $229/mo |
| Grow | 5 | $299/mo | $259/mo | $229/mo |
| Grow | 10 | $399/mo | $349/mo | $299/mo |
| Plus | 5 | $499/mo | $439/mo | $399/mo |
| Plus | 10 | $599/mo | $499/mo | $449/mo |
Extra users cost $29/mo on every plan, and that is the single most important number on this page. Connect for a single user is $139/mo monthly, $119/mo on a one-year commitment and $99/mo billed annually. There is a 14-day trial on the Grow feature set with no credit card. Payment processing is charged on top: card 2.9% plus 30 cents, Tap to Pay 2.7% plus 30 cents, ACH 1%, and instant payout adds 1%.

What each tier actually includes
Core is a complete one-person business: scheduling, quotes, invoicing, payments and a customer-facing website. It does not chase anyone for you.
Connect is where Jobber becomes a system rather than a tool. Automated client reminders, automatic payment collection, checklists, quote and invoice follow-up, QuickBooks Online sync, and time and expense tracking all arrive here. For most small trade businesses this is the tier that pays for itself, because the follow-up on unpaid invoices and unsold quotes is the work owners never get to.
Grow adds rich-media quotes with photos and reviews, optional line items for upselling, automatic time tracking, job costing, two-way SMS and workflow automations. Job costing is the reason most people move: on a repeat maintenance visit it changes nothing, and on a four-figure install or replacement it is the difference between knowing your margin and guessing at it.
Plus adds job files and media, @mentions, Pipeline for lead tracking, the Marketing Suite, an AI Receptionist, a dedicated onboarding specialist and priority support. This is the tier for a company that has an office and is spending money on lead generation, not for a five-van shop.
Where Jobber is genuinely strong
Price transparency. Four plans, three billing options each, one per-seat rate. There is nothing to negotiate and nothing to discover later.
The per-seat model. $29/mo flat on every plan is a low, predictable cost for a business that hires one technician at a time. Compare that with Housecall Pro’s $100/mo extra seat on Essentials and the difference in how a growing crew’s bill behaves is obvious.
The core loop is complete on the middle tier. Request, quote, schedule, dispatch, invoice, collect, follow up — with QuickBooks Online sync — is all present at Connect. Most competing platforms push one of those to a higher tier or an add-on.
It is honest about what it is. Jobber does not pretend to be a dispatch centre for a fifty-truck operation, and it does not charge like one. The feature ceiling is visible in the pricing table before you buy, which is rarer in this market than it should be.
Where Jobber gets expensive
QuickBooks Online only. This is a hard stop for some businesses. If your accountant runs QuickBooks Desktop, Jobber is the wrong platform, full stop, and Housecall Pro documents both Online and Desktop — check which tier includes Desktop with the vendor before you commit (checked 11 September 2026).
No flat-rate price book and no equipment history. A shop that quotes HVAC, plumbing or electrical work from a printed price book will run that book outside the software. Serial numbers, install dates and warranty terms belong on the customer record and, on Jobber, they will live in job notes.
Job costing at $149/mo. To get job costing for a single user you buy Grow, which is $149/mo billed annually for one user — a five-fold jump from Core for one function. Businesses that need margin tracking per job should budget for Grow from day one rather than discover it in month four.
The ceiling is real. Pipeline, Marketing Suite, the AI Receptionist and the media library are all Plus. A business doing serious lead attribution and marketing automation outgrows Jobber’s cheaper tiers, and Plus for five users is $399/mo billed annually.
Who should buy Jobber
Buy Jobber if you are a residential or light-commercial trade business of one to fifteen people, you want to know your software cost before you speak to anyone, and your work is repeatable: scheduled maintenance, service calls, installs, quotes that turn into invoices. The middle tier, Connect, is where most of those businesses land, and the flat $29/mo seat makes the next hire a decision rather than a negotiation.
Who should not buy Jobber
Do not buy Jobber if your technicians sell from a flat-rate price book, if you need equipment and refrigerant history attached to the customer record, if your books are in QuickBooks Desktop, if you run multi-week commercial projects with inventory and purchase orders, or if your technicians are commission-paid and you need the reporting depth of an enterprise platform. Those are not marginal objections — each one is a reason to price Simpro, ServiceTitan or Housecall Pro instead.
Jobber vs the alternatives
| Alternative | Published entry price | Where it beats Jobber | The catch |
|---|---|---|---|
| Housecall Pro | $59/mo annual (Basic, 1 user) | QuickBooks Online sync on the pricing page, with a Desktop connector the vendor still documents but does not price by tier (checked 11 September 2026); review management, recurring service plans on MAX, no contract | Seat allowances are rigid and extra seats are $100/mo on Essentials |
| ServiceM8 | Free (1 user, 30 jobs/mo) | Unlimited users on paid plans, priced by job volume rather than headcount | Coarser feature set and fewer integrations; app-first rather than office-first |
| Kickserv | $60/mo (Start, 5 users) | Lowest published cost per seat for a small team, 30-day trial | Lighter automation; QuickBooks Desktop costs $50/mo more |
| Service Fusion | $208/mo annual (unlimited users) | Unlimited users at a flat rate, job costing and inventory on Pro | Entry price is high; a demo is the only way in |
How we scored Jobber 4.5 out of 5
The score is an editorial judgement, and here is exactly what produced it. We did not test Jobber on customer jobs. We read the vendor’s published pricing page on 10 September 2026, re-confirmed it on 11 September 2026, worked through the plan-by-plan feature lists, and ran the published prices against realistic crew sizes of one, five, ten and fifteen users.
Jobber gains points on price transparency, a flat per-seat cost, the completeness of the core workflow at the middle tier, and the fact that a buyer can decide without a sales call. It loses points on the absence of a flat-rate price book and equipment history, on QuickBooks Online with no Desktop option, on job costing being locked a full tier above the entry plan, and on a reporting and marketing ceiling that a scaling business will hit. Those two halves of a point are the same four facts a competing platform would raise in a sales call, which is why they are in the verdict rather than buried here.
If you are comparing it directly with the closest rival, our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison runs the same crew sizes through both, the Housecall Pro review scores that rival on the same four criteria, the full Jobber pricing breakdown covers every plan and add-on, and the Jobber alternatives guide covers the eight ways out if the seat maths or the QuickBooks limitation is what stops you. For the ranked shortlist with every platform’s published prices, see our best field service software page.
What works well
- Every plan is published, including the per-seat rate, so a small shop can budget for the next hire without a sales call.
- The flat $29/mo extra user on every tier is the cleanest cost model here for a business that adds one technician at a time.
- Jobber runs the whole loop a trade business actually uses — request, quote, schedule, dispatch, invoice, collect — without an add-on catalogue.
- Automated reminders, quote and invoice follow-up and checklists sit on Connect, the middle tier, not the top one.
Where it falls short
- QuickBooks Online only. If your books are in QuickBooks Desktop, Jobber is the wrong platform for you.
- No flat-rate price book and no equipment history, so shops that quote from a printed book keep half the process outside the software.
- Job costing is a Grow feature, and getting there costs $149/mo billed annually for a single user — a steep step for one function.
- Reporting, marketing automation, the AI Receptionist and Pipeline are Plus-tier features, and Plus starts at $499/mo billed annually for five users.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Jobber cost in 2026?
Published list prices start at $29/mo billed annually for Core with one user, rising to $39/mo on a one-year commitment and $49/mo with no commitment. Connect is $149/mo billed annually for five users, Grow is $229/mo for five, and Plus is $399/mo for five. Every extra user is a flat $29/mo on any plan. These are the vendor's own list prices, checked on 10 September 2026, before payment processing.
Is Jobber worth it for a one-person business?
Yes, if you are already quoting, scheduling and invoicing from a phone. Core at $29/mo billed annually covers one user with scheduling, quotes, invoicing, payments and a website. If you only run a handful of jobs a month, ServiceM8's free plan covers 30 jobs on one user at $0, and upgrading later is a decision you can defer until Jobber's automation starts to matter.
What do you actually lose by staying on Jobber Core?
Automated reminders, automatic payment collection, checklists, quote and invoice follow-up and QuickBooks Online sync all start on Connect. Core is a working scheduling and invoicing tool, but it will not chase unpaid invoices for you. For a solo operator with repeat customers, that follow-up is usually the single feature that pays for the upgrade.
Does Jobber work with QuickBooks Desktop?
No. Jobber syncs with QuickBooks Online only. If your accountant runs QuickBooks Desktop, you either move the books to Online or you accept manual double entry. Housecall Pro supports both Online and Desktop — its own integration page confirms Desktop, though its pricing page names only Online sync, so check which tier includes it with the vendor (checked 11 September 2026) — which makes it the more likely alternative in that specific case.
Can Jobber handle maintenance agreements and recurring jobs?
Yes, through recurring jobs plus automatic invoicing, which is how most HVAC, pest control, pool and lawn care customers run service plans on the platform. It is a build-it-yourself arrangement rather than a dedicated membership module. If recurring memberships are the core of your revenue, price Housecall Pro's recurring service plans on MAX as well before deciding.
Why is Jobber Grow more expensive than Connect?
Grow adds rich-media quotes, optional line items, automatic time tracking, job costing, two-way SMS and workflow automations. Job costing is the feature that usually forces the upgrade: on a repeat maintenance job it barely matters, and on a four-figure install or replacement it is the difference between knowing your margin and guessing at it.
How did you review Jobber without using it?
We did not use it. We read Jobber's published pricing page on 10 September 2026 and re-confirmed it on 11 September 2026, checked the plan-by-plan feature lists, and ran the published prices against realistic crew sizes. We do not claim hands-on testing, and every figure in this review comes from the vendor's own page rather than from a third-party compilation.
What is the best alternative to Jobber?
Housecall Pro at the same $149/mo billed annually for five users is the closest like-for-like alternative, and it is the one of the two that documents QuickBooks Desktop support — alongside review management and recurring service plans. ServiceM8 at $79/mo with unlimited users wins on cost whenever your job volume is low and your headcount is not. Both are covered in our Jobber alternatives guide.
