Best Plumbing Software 2026: 9 Picks for Plumbers (With Real Pricing)
Nine plumbing software platforms, with the price each vendor actually publishes and what same-day dispatch, flat-rate pricing and maintenance plans demand. Prices checked 10 September 2026.
Residential plumbing is an emergency-first business, and that shapes the software choice more than any feature list. Jobber is the best value for most one-to-ten plumber shops because the pricing is published, extra seats cost a flat $29/mo and dispatch, quoting and invoicing are all on one plan. Housecall Pro suits shops that live on repeat work and reviews, and Workiz suits call-heavy operations that need every inbound call tied to a booked job. ServiceTitan only earns its keep once you have a dispatcher and a commercial or project side to the business.
- Best for:
- US residential and light-commercial plumbing companies with 1–15 plumbers, choosing between a general field service platform and a commercial-grade system.
- Not for:
- New-construction plumbing subcontractors running multi-phase projects, who should be looking at project management software rather than field service tools.

Plumbing splits into two businesses that need different software. Residential service work — leaks, blockages, water heaters, repipes — is won and lost on how fast you answer the phone and how quickly a van gets to the door. Commercial and new-construction plumbing is project work, measured in phases, permits and inspections.
Most software on this list was built for the first business and bolted onto the second. That is worth knowing before you sign a twelve-month agreement, because the features that matter to each side are almost entirely different.
Every price below comes from the vendor’s own pricing page and was checked on 10 September 2026. We have not used these products on customer jobs and we do not claim to have. We read the vendors’ documentation, test their arithmetic against realistic crew sizes, and say plainly where the published price is not the whole story.

1. Jobber — best overall for residential plumbing shops
From $29/mo billed annually (Core, one user). Four tiers — Core, Connect, Grow and Plus — covering 1, 5, 10 and 15 users, with a flat $29/mo per additional user. Connect is $99/mo annual for one user and $149/mo for five; Grow is $149/mo for one and $229/mo for ten.
Why it leads for plumbing: the pricing is published, the seat cost is flat, and everything a service plumber needs is on one plan — scheduling and dispatch, quotes, invoices, online payments and automated client reminders from Connect up. Route optimization, GPS and time tracking arrive at the same tier, which is what you want when a dispatcher is juggling same-day calls. QuickBooks Online sync is included.
The catch: QuickBooks Online only. No plumbing price book, so flat-rate quoting lives outside the platform. Parts inventory is not a feature jobber sells. Full breakdown on our Jobber pricing page.
2. Housecall Pro — best for repeat work, reviews and booking
From $59/mo billed annually (Basic, one user). Essentials is $149/mo annual with five users; MAX is $299/mo annual with eight. Extra seats are $100/mo on Essentials and $75/mo on MAX.
Why it fits plumbing: online booking and review management are on the entry plan, which suits a shop whose next job comes from a Google search. Essentials adds route optimization, GPS tracking, checklists, photo reports and commissions, plus QuickBooks Online sync — the vendor still documents a Desktop connector, but the pricing page no longer names it by tier, so we could not confirm which plan includes it (checked 11 September 2026). There is no long-term contract, and the 14-day trial runs the full MAX feature set with no credit card.
The catch: rigid user bands — a three-plumber shop pays the five-user price — and $100/mo for one extra seat on Essentials is expensive against a $149/mo plan. Nine add-ons are listed with no prices on the page. Full breakdown on our Housecall Pro pricing page.
3. ServiceTitan — only above about ten technicians
Request pricing, per technician, negotiated. Starter, Essentials and The Works, with project management, AIA-style billing, job costing and membership management in the stack.
Why it is here: plumbing companies with commercial accounts and a construction side need project tracking, purchase orders and job costing that the residential tools simply do not have. ServiceTitan’s dispatch board and reporting are the deepest on this list.
The catch: no published price and no free trial. Third-party compilations of user reports put it at $125–$398 per technician per month with implementation reported at $5,000–$50,000 and a twelve-month minimum. Those figures are estimates, not vendor numbers. Full breakdown on our ServiceTitan pricing page.
4. Workiz — best for plumbing shops that live on the phone
Request pricing. Native call tracking, call recording and AI call answering tied to customer records, plus scheduling, dispatch, two-way SMS and payments.
Why it fits plumbing: a blocked drain is a now-or-never job, and the shop that answers first usually wins it. Workiz is the only platform here that treats the inbound call as a first-class part of the workflow rather than something you bolt on with a separate phone system.
The catch: no published plan prices. Third-party trackers report paid tiers around $200–$325 per month with extra users near $55–$65/mo, and one 2026 compilation puts entry at about $187/mo — none of which we could confirm with the vendor. Treat those as estimates and ask for the phone system pricing specifically.
5. ServiceM8 — best if you have more plumbers than jobs
Free for one user and 30 jobs a month; $29/mo Starter (50 jobs), $79/mo Growing (150), $149/mo Premium (500), $349/mo Premium Plus (1,500+). Every paid tier includes unlimited users, and bills follow job volume rather than headcount.
Why it fits plumbing: a two-van shop doing 120 jobs a month pays $79/mo flat whether those jobs are run by two plumbers or four. Recurring jobs and deposits are included from the free tier, and SMS is free from Starter up. For low-ticket repair work with a high headcount — drain clearing, tap replacements, small callouts — the arithmetic is hard to beat.
The catch: coarse bands, with nothing between 150 and 500 jobs a month. Extra jobs cost 20c each on the top tier. Inventory and asset records climb with the tiers, and the platform is deliberately mobile-first.
6. Kickserv — cheapest cost per seat for a small team
$60/mo for Start (5 users), $119/mo for Run (10), $199/mo for Scale (20), 20% off on annual billing, 30-day free trial.
Why it fits plumbing: $12 per user per month is the lowest published per-seat price we found for a small team, and Start already includes automated email and SMS reminders, time and expense tracking and QuickBooks Online sync. Run adds dispatch mapping, GPS check-ins and custom reports.
The catch: lighter automation than Jobber or Housecall Pro, no route optimization on the entry tier, and an extra $50/mo for QuickBooks Desktop. The Kickback scheme is a 5% discount for processing a minimum monthly payment volume, not a feature.
7. Service Fusion — best for unlimited users at a flat rate
$245/mo monthly or $208/mo billed annually (Starter); $627/mo or $533/mo annually (Pro) — unlimited users on every plan, no contract.
Why it fits plumbing: if adding a plumber must never add software cost, this is the cleanest structure here. Starter covers scheduling, dispatching, project management, invoicing and QuickBooks integration. Pro adds job costing, inventory, integrated voice and text, and an open API — the inventory piece being the one plumbing shops ask about most.
The catch: the entry price is high — $208/mo annual is more than a ten-user Jobber plan — so it only makes sense at real headcount. Job costing, the customer portal and recurring invoicing sit on Pro, and a demo is the only way in.
8. Simpro — best for commercial and project plumbing
Request pricing. A base plan covering quoting and estimating, scheduling, inventory and purchasing, invoicing and reporting, plus add-ons including Digital Forms, Data Feed, Maintenance Planner, Takeoffs, Simtrac GPS and SMS.
Why it fits plumbing: the Maintenance Planner and asset tracking are built for commercial service agreements, and inventory management with vendor price comparison suits contractors who buy a lot of material. It integrates with QuickBooks, Xero, Sage and MYOB.
The catch: no published prices and no self-serve trial — guided demos only. The base-plan-plus-add-ons structure means the add-ons are the product, and the whole thing is aimed at commercial contractors rather than a two-van residential outfit.
9. FieldPulse — best for mixed field-and-office seats
Request pricing on the main page; $99 per user in the vendor’s own pricing tool (checked 11 September 2026). Two seat types — full-access for office staff and cheaper field-only seats for technicians — across Essentials, Professional and Enterprise packages.
Why it fits plumbing: most plumbers never touch the back office, so paying a full seat for every technician is waste. The seat split fixes that, and the platform is mobile-first with QuickBooks sync and an open API. The Engage phone system is sold separately per line.
The catch: no plan price on the main page (the vendor’s own pricing tool does publish the platform rate, $99 per user, checked 11 September 2026) and three packages that look identical on the pricing page. Get the full-access and field-only rates in writing, plus the per-line phone cost, before comparing it to a published-price platform.
What plumbing software for a small business actually has to do
Same-day dispatch. Residential plumbing runs on urgency. The board has to absorb an emergency call without rebuilding the whole day, and it has to show which plumber is genuinely nearest rather than who is next in a list. Jobber, Housecall Pro and ServiceTitan all do basic dispatch; route optimization by drive time starts at Jobber Connect and Housecall Pro Essentials.
Flat-rate pricing. If your plumbers quote from a book, the platform has to serve that book on a phone in a few taps, with options and add-ons. ServiceTitan and FieldEdge are built around it, Housecall Pro offers one as a paid add-on, and the general platforms expect you to build your own.
Recurring maintenance. Backflow testing, water heater flushes and annual inspections are pure recurring revenue. Housecall Pro’s recurring service plans and ServiceTitan’s memberships were designed for this; on Jobber it is recurring jobs plus automatic invoicing, which works but takes more setup.
Parts on the truck. Knowing what is on each van and what a job actually cost in material is the difference between a profitable repipe and a busy month. This is where Simpro, Service Fusion Pro and ServiceTitan separate from the cheaper platforms.
Permits and inspections. Almost nothing on this list handles them. If new construction is part of your mix, budget for a project management tool alongside your field service software rather than expecting one platform to do both.
What plumbing software costs by crew size
Published list prices only, before payment processing and add-ons:
One plumber. Jobber Core at $29/mo annual, or ServiceM8’s free plan under 30 jobs a month.
Two to five plumbers. Jobber Connect at $149/mo annual for five users, or Housecall Pro Essentials at the same price for five. Choose on booking, reviews and which QuickBooks edition you run. Kickserv Start at $60/mo is the budget option.
Six to ten plumbers. Jobber Connect plus seats at $29/mo each, Housecall Pro MAX at $299/mo for eight, or ServiceM8 Growing at $79/mo if volume stays under 150 jobs.
Eleven to twenty plumbers. Service Fusion at $208/mo annual with unlimited users, or Simpro if there is a commercial book of business. This is also where ServiceTitan becomes a legitimate conversation rather than an upsell.
How this list was built
Every price was read from the vendor’s own pricing page on 10 September 2026. Where a vendor publishes no price, we say so and never substitute a figure. Where a range comes from third-party compilations of user reports, it is labelled as an estimate with the source named.
We have not used these products on customer jobs. We read the vendors’ documentation, check their arithmetic, and tell you where the advertised number and the invoice diverge. If a price changes, this page and the date above change with it.
Comparing the two front-runners? Our Jobber vs Housecall Pro comparison runs the same crew sizes through both, and the By Trade hub collects the same breakdown for HVAC, electrical, cleaning and the rest. Plumbing is the other trade where the enterprise platforms dominate above ten technicians, so we priced ServiceTitan against the mid-market option in our Housecall Pro vs ServiceTitan comparison. The field service software buyer’s guide covers the general-platform case, and the technician scheduling software page covers the part of the job that happens before an invoice exists.
What works well
- Five of the nine platforms publish prices, so a plumbing shop can budget without a sales call.
- Jobber's $29/mo flat seat cost keeps the maths simple as you add vans one at a time.
- Housecall Pro supports QuickBooks Desktop as well as Online, which matters for shops still on the desktop edition — though its pricing page now names only Online sync, so we could not confirm which plan includes Desktop (checked 11 September 2026).
- ServiceM8's free tier and job-volume pricing suit a two-plumber shop doing under 30 jobs a month.
Where it falls short
- None of the general platforms ships a plumbing flat-rate price book; the ones that do are quote-only, so you cannot price them from a web page.
- Payment processing is charged separately by all nine vendors and scales with revenue, not headcount — it is the most under-budgeted line in software planning.
- Parts inventory on the van is weak outside Simpro, ServiceTitan and Service Fusion Pro.
- No platform here handles permits and inspection scheduling well; plumbing contractors doing new construction usually need a project tool alongside.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best software for a small plumbing business?
For most US plumbing shops with one to ten plumbers, Jobber. Published prices starting at $29/mo billed annually, a flat $29/mo per extra seat, scheduling and dispatch, quoting, invoicing and QuickBooks Online sync. Connect at $149/mo annual covers five users. Housecall Pro Essentials is the same price for five users and adds stronger online booking and review tools.
How much does plumbing software cost?
Published list prices run from $29/mo for a single Jobber user to around $500/mo for a fifteen-user plan, plus payment processing. Service Fusion is $208/mo billed annually with unlimited users; Kickserv Start is $60/mo for five users. ServiceTitan publishes nothing — third-party compilations put it at roughly $125–$398 per technician per month plus an implementation fee reported between $5,000 and $50,000.
Which plumbing software handles emergency and after-hours calls?
Workiz is the strongest fit on this list, because call tracking, call recording and AI call answering are tied to the customer and job record rather than sold as a separate phone system. Jobber and Housecall Pro both handle scheduling and on-call dispatch, but the call itself is not part of the platform unless you pay for an add-on.
Do plumbers need a flat-rate price book in their software?
If your technicians quote from a printed book, yes — and it narrows the list sharply. ServiceTitan and FieldEdge are built around price books. Housecall Pro offers one as a paid add-on. Jobber, ServiceM8, Kickserv and Service Fusion do not include one, so a flat-rate shop would be maintaining that process outside the platform.
Can plumbing software handle recurring maintenance plans?
Yes. Jobber handles recurring jobs and automatic invoicing from Connect upward. Housecall Pro adds recurring service plans on MAX. ServiceTitan markets membership management in its top package. Water heater flushes, backflow testing and annual inspections all fit a recurring job pattern, so choose the tier that includes repeat scheduling rather than the entry plan.
Does plumbing software integrate with QuickBooks?
Mostly, but check the edition. Jobber syncs with QuickBooks Online only. Housecall Pro supports both Online and Desktop, which its own integration page confirms, but its pricing page names only Online sync, at Essentials, so we could not confirm which tier includes Desktop (checked 11 September 2026). Kickserv includes Online and charges $50/mo extra for Desktop. Service Fusion and Simpro both integrate with QuickBooks, and Simpro also supports Xero, Sage and MYOB.
Is ServiceTitan worth it for a plumbing company?
Above roughly ten technicians with a dispatcher, commercial accounts and project work, the dispatch depth and job-costing reporting can justify it. Below that, the reported per-technician cost and the implementation fee usually outweigh the benefit, and there is no free trial to test it on.
How were these prices checked?
We read each vendor's official pricing page on 10 September 2026. We have not run these products on customer jobs and we do not claim to have. Where a vendor publishes no price we say so, and any range taken from third-party user reports is labelled an estimate with the source named.
